Kaavya is a rising sophomore at Boston University studying Behavioral Biology on the pre-med track with interests in child development, mental health, and women’s healthcare. Dr. McGowan grew up in the Piedmont Triad area of NC and received her medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine at ECU in Greenville, NC. She completed her residency and fellowship training at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC and is board certified in General Pediatrics and board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. She is thrilled to join CCM as Medical Director, to continue serving the communities of eastern NC.
