Gwen Goodrow, MD,is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist. She started her educational career as a IVFtechnician in the laboratory when IVF was just a newly emerging technique to help couples have a child when they were otherwise unsuccessful. After realizing how much she loved working with people directly , she decided she wanted to be a Reproductive Specialist and decided to go to medical school. She graduated from medical school at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada and completed a 5-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mcmaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. She then completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. Dr. Goodrow returned to Canada to take a position as Associate Professor at Mcmaster University where she enjoyed teaching medical students and residents, conducted research in infertility and provided care to couples at the Hamilton Health SciencesIVF clinic. The opportunity arose to join one of the largest IVF practices in Toronto Canada as a partner in 2007 which she did for 14 years. During this time, she lead innovative projects at the clinic such as egg freezing for fertility preservation, utilization of fresh donor eggs and the adoption of vitrification Wishing to help couples in their fertility journey in less serviced areas outside of the big city of Toronto, Dr Goodrow then worked for a few years at a smaller clinic in Ontario. In the changing world of IVF, the opportunity came to join Dr Gago at Gago Fertility in Michigan and the rest is history.
Dr. Goodrow is an enthusiasticanimal lover, an avid gardener and anactive horse-rider. When she is not helping fertility patients, she is working hard to look after her “fur babies”.
“My experience was great with Dr. Weinman. She listened to all my concerns and advised me accordingly. She deserves a five star.
The only bad experience I am having is with administration. I’ve been trying to call the billing department for two weeks now because I want to move forward with fertility treatment, but needed some clarification on a few points before moving forward. I’ve left messages with no response. It’s frustrating because now I’ve missed my current cycle and have to wait for my next cycle to proceed with treatment. I am now second guessing with proceeding due to this experience. ”
