Keith Kellum, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist with the team at Southern Eye Institute, with locations in Houma and Thibodaux, Louisiana. Dr. Kellum has been delivering the highest quality eye care to his community for over two decades.
Dr. Kellum is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and a magna cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He also has extensive post-graduate training – he completed a preliminary medical internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and a specialized residency, as chief resident, in ophthalmology at the Louisiana State University Eye Center in New Orleans.
An esteemed member of the medical community, Dr. Kellum is a published author, a board-certified diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and an active member in many leading medical organizations, including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology, the New Orleans Academy of Ophthalmologist, and Louisiana Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
