Dipan Patel, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain management specialist (chronic pain, spine, & joint conditions) at Florham Spine & Joint Center in Florham, New Jersey. He takes great pride in helping patients find lasting relief from chronic pain so they can return to the activities and quality of life they enjoy most. His clinical interests include using Botox® for chronic pain conditions, as well as treating trigeminal neuralgia, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, headaches, and chronic migraines. Dr. Patel also has extensive expertise in managing complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), spine & joint pain, and chronic pain after spine surgery.
After earning his medical degree, Dr. Patel completed an internship in internal medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, followed by a residency in anesthesiology at New York Medical College. He then pursued an ACGME-accredited fellowship in interventional pain medicine at the prestigious New York University (NYU) Langone Medical Center in Manhattan.
During his fellowship, Dr. Patel gained advanced hands-on experience across several world-renowned institutions, including NYU Tisch Hospital, the Hospital for Joint Diseases, the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Hospital, and Bellevue Hospital. He also trained at leading specialty centers such as the Center for Musculoskeletal Care and the Center for the Study and Treatment of Pain. These experiences helped him develop one of the most well-rounded and advanced skill sets in the field of interventional pain medicine.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Patel serves as a Director at Large for the Residents and Fellows Society of the North American Neuromodulation Society, where he contributes to advancing physician education in spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal drug delivery therapies.

Dr. Burke Gao is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgeon at Northwell Health – Lenox Hill Hospital and Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
He specializes in the comprehensive care of the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow, with a particular focus on sports-related conditions in athletes, nerve injuries and reconstruction, and acute trauma. His expertise spans sport specific care, advanced microsurgical techniques, tendon and ligament reconstruction, fracture management, and procedures to restore motion and strength following complex injuries.

An active academic surgeon, Dr. Gao has published widely on hand and upper extremity surgery, sports medicine, and patient education. He has presented his research nationally and internationally, including at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the International Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand.

David N. Feldman, MD, is a highly respected, pioneering orthopedic surgeon who specializes in joint surgery. Dr. Feldman is delighted to be providing services to patients at Active Joints Orthopedics in Englewood, New Jersey, using the most up-to-date technologies and innovative techniques to optimize outcomes for patients.
Dr. Feldman is a leading practitioner in the field of orthopedic surgery and has long been an advocate of computer-assisted, minimally invasive hip and knee replacements using partial joint prosthetics and resurfacing techniques. His research into finding ways of extending the life of replacement hip joints led to the development of metal-on-metal hip replacement surgery at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center.
Among his research efforts, Dr. Feldman played a key role in the design of hip-resurfacing arthroplasties and undertook the role of the clinical investigator for two FDA hip-resurfacing trials that took place at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and Holy Name Medical Center. Dr. Feldman specializes in customizing minimally invasive forms of surgery to suit his patients’ individual needs and always strives to reduce their recovery times by refining existing techniques.
Dr. Feldman has certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of both the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He is also a founder member of the Society for the Advancement of Blood Management.
Several honors have been bestowed on Dr. Feldman, including being named Castle Connolly Top Doctors for the New York metropolitan area from 2005-07; a Patient's Choice Award from 2008-09; and Home Care Bergen County’s Physician of the Year award in 1997.
Marc Menkowitz, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopaedic spine surgeon who specializes in the operative and nonoperative treatment of adult and pediatric spinal disorders. He provides care to patients at the Center for the Functional Restoration of the Spine in Shrewsbury, Toms River, and Edison, New Jersey.
Dr. Menkowitz started his education at The Hill School, a prestigious secondary boarding school in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He went on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and earned his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, also in Philadelphia. He completed his orthopaedic surgery training at the Monmouth Medical Center, one of the oldest programs in New Jersey. Afterward, Dr. Menkowitz completed his spine surgery fellowship at The New York Spine Institute at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Upon completing his fellowship, he moved back to Monmouth County, New Jersey, and together with another fellowship-trained spine surgeon, they established the Center for the Functional Restoration of the Spine. Concurrently, he was appointed to the academic committee of the Monmouth Orthopaedic Surgery program. He is also an assistant professor at Drexel University College of Medicine.
Dr. Menkowitz has co-authored several articles pertaining to spinal surgery, which have been presented at international meetings. His areas of expertise include the operative and nonoperative treatment of adult and pediatric spinal deformity, disc herniations, degenerative conditions of the spine, tumors, and sports-related injuries.
Steve Paragioudakis, MD, is an experienced orthopedic spine surgeon at the Center for the Functional Restoration of the Spine, with locations in Shrewsbury, Toms River, and Edison, New Jersey.
Dr. Paragioudakis received his Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from the Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), formerly the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Paragioudakis completed his internship and residency program at the RBHS in the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Department of Orthopaedics.
Dr. Paragioudakis has received recognition for his research throughout his career, and his clinical science paper received the International Volvo Award for Low Back Pain Research in 2000. He is a member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, as well as the National Board of Medical Examiners.
