Dr. Burke Gao is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgeon at Northwell Health – Lenox Hill Hospital and Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Dr. Gao has received numerous national awards including competitive research scholarships from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Mid-America Orthopaedic Association. David Lent, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Doctors United, with offices in the West Farms and Wakefield neighborhoods in Yonkers, New York. He is highly trained in orthopedic surgery, with over two decades of experience in the field.
Dr. Lent earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in health science from Yeshiva University in New York City, New York, and received his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine in New York City, New York.
He completed an orthopedic residency program at Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, New York City, New York, and a sports medicine fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York.

Dr. Lent has numerous hospital affiliations in New York, including St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, where he serves as Chief of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery; Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx; St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers; and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
He also worked as a professor at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Erie, Pennsylvania, and was voted Top Doctor by Westchester Magazine and Castle Connolly Medical.
He maintains his advanced medical credentials with ongoing education in the latest advancements in orthopedic medicine. Dr. Lent is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of numerous medical organizations. Examples include the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and Westchester County Medical Society.
