He practices from the offices in Clifton, Middletown, Riverdale, Edison, and Jersey City, New Jersey; and Staten Island and Ardsley, New York.
Dr. Sood received a degree in pharmaceutical medicine from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He received his certification as a doctor of osteopathy at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He returned to Rutgers for his residency in Anesthesiology and fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine, gaining valuable experience at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Dr. Sood is a double board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and is also certified in Pain Medicine. He is the Chairman of Anesthesiology at New Bridge Medical Center. His extensive education and nearly 10 years of professional experience in private practice have given Dr. Sood a passion for treating complicated pain issues. His specific interests include pain related to nerve problems, sports injuries, and cancer. His pharmacy background has proven to be an asset while managing intractable pain. Dr. Sood is also skilled in treatment for unsightly and painful varicose veins, including sclerotherapy and vein ablation.
Dr. Sood has been concentrating on finding new ways to improve his patient’s quality of life through regenerative medicine. He feels that platelet-rich plasma therapy and stem cell treatments will be monumental in the future of medicine.
Dr. Sood continues to add to his education, staying up-to-date on the latest techniques and methods for anesthesiology and pain medicine. He writes professionally, gives lectures, and has contributed to presentations at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York, on the topic of interventional techniques in pain medicine.
