Christopher Weeden, MD, is one of the distinguished physicians at the Interventional Spine and Pain Institute, which has locations in Vero Beach and Palm Bay, Florida. Board certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Weeden completed his residency and pain medicine fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. His extensive training encompasses a broad range of pain management techniques, which he employs to provide patient-centered care aimed at alleviating pain.
Dr. Weeden, a native of Tallahassee, Florida, earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics and chemistry from Emory University. He then obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando. Following this, Dr. Weeden returned to Atlanta for his residency in anesthesiology and subsequent pain medicine fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine, where he received both academic and practical training in aspects of interventional pain medicine.
His expertise includes a multidisciplinary approach to treating various pain conditions, such as acute and chronic post-surgical pain, neuropathic pain, musculoskeletal pain, and cancer-related pain. With his training placing a special emphasis on cancer-related pain and advanced therapies, Dr. Weeden employs a range of multidisciplinary and targeted interventions to address diverse pain issues effectively.
Dr. Weeden is dedicated to enhancing his patients functionality and quality of life, focusing on activities that bring them joy. His treatment strategies include comprehensive and interventional pain therapies, such as implantable spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulators, lumbar decompression, ablations, and kyphoplasty.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Weeden enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, exploring Disney, and playing golf. He is also a passionate sports enthusiast and values attending sporting events.
