Ashley Bowser is an Arizona native who moved to Austin, TX in 2009 to pursue a career in ballet training with Ballet Austin. Growing up she received pre-professional ballet training at Ballet Arizona and at a variety of summer programs with Pittsburg Ballet Theatre, The Rock School, American Ballet Theatre, Miami City Ballet and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Ashley was also a competitive figure skater. She sustained many injuries that required physical therapy, and she developed a huge passion for the profession because it allowed her to continue pursuing her dreams. When she decided to stop dancing she knew that she would become a physical therapist.
After receiving her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin, she went on to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of New England in 2016. Ashley has 9 years of experience in the physical therapy profession in a variety of settings including orthopedics, sports, neuro, aquatic and pelvic floor therapy. She is passionate about continuing education and keeping up with the most up-to-date treatments in the profession. In her spare time, Ashley is very active running around Town Lake, weight lifting, or doing yoga. She is also an artist who really enjoys painting. Most of the time she is having fun with her husband and son at home, parks around town, or at an Austin FC game.
Sonja grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota and after many years of competitive Irish dance she was motivated to work in the field of physical therapy. After graduating in spring of 2022, she and her husband Joseph relocated to the Austin area.
Sonja is passionate about her role in helping individuals reach their personal goals with physical therapy and loves watching her patients’ confidence grow through the rehabilitation process. She enjoys coming up with creative ways to make PT fun and finds it an incredibly rewarding field of work.
