Todd Laughner was born, raised and received his primary, secondary, collegiate and graduate education in Ohio. Dr. Laughner graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Biology from Youngstown State University. He attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland graduating in 1991 as the Class Valedictorian. Dr. Laughner completed his surgical residency training in 1993 at the Kern Hospital for Special Surgery located in Warren, Michigan. He had practiced Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Portland, Maine before locating to the Tri City Area in 1996. He has been an active staff member at MidMichigan Medical Center since 1998. Dr. Laughner has been in practice at Midland Podiatry Associates since October 1999.

Brian Burkardt, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist and surgeon with over 18 years of experience at Gentle Foot and Ankle Care in Commerce Township and South Lyon, Michigan. Dr. Burkardt is a Michigan native originally from Monroe, Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Science from Siena Heights University in 1999. He graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2003 with honors. Dr. Burkardt then went on to complete an extensive three-year surgical residency at Southeast Michigan Surgical Hospital, formerly Kern Hospital. Dr. Burkardt joined Gentle Foot and Ankle Care in 2006. He is currently on staff at Huron Valley Sinai-DMC and Beaumont Royal Oak. He is board certified in both Foot Surgery and Rearfoot Reconstructive and Ankle by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Brenda Carnaghi, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist and surgeon with over 17 years of experience serving patients at Gentle Foot and Ankle Care in Troy, Michigan. Dr. Carnaghi is a Michigan native originally from St. Clair Shores. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology as well as a master’s in clinical/community health education from Wayne State University. She then earned her medical degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Carnaghi went on to complete an extensive three-year surgical residency at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. She is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot surgery.
