Michael J. Petrocelli, DPM, FACFAS, CWSP, is a compassionate board-certified foot and ankle surgeon at Collier Podiatry in Naples, Florida.
Dr. Petrocelli was born and raised in North Providence, Rhode Island, and attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, where he earned his Bachelor of Sciences degree in biological sciences. He then received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree (Cum Laude) at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, before completing a two-year residency in foot and ankle surgery — with an emphasis on diabetic wound care and limb salvage — at Kern Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
As a physician who understands the importance of staying up to date with the latest advances in his field, Dr. Petrocelli maintains professional memberships with the Society for the Advancement of Wound Care, the American Diabetes Association, and the American, Florida, and Collier County Podiatric Medical Associations. Dr. Petrocelli has been in practice since 1994. He began with a large group practice in Tampa, Florida, before relocating to Naples in 2002 to start his own practice and be closer to his family. He has been happily married for over 30 years and has one child.
