After they were married they moved to Chicago to attend the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed his surgical residency at the Mt Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Matthews and his wife have four wonderful children.
