Dr. Corbin completed the revered podiatric residency program at Hoboken University Medical Center in New Jersey, serving as chief resident. Samantha Sheppard, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist at Garden State Foot & Ankle Specialists, which has six convenient locations: Edison, Woodbridge, Plainfield, Scotch Plains, Springfield, and Linden, New Jersey. She’s highly skilled in treating all foot and ankle pathologies with both surgical and conservative treatments. 

Dr. Sheppard graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, with a dual bachelor’s degree in biology and Italian studies. She earned her medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City, graduating at the top of her class.

Dr. Sheppard went on to complete her surgical training at the Atlantic Health System’s Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey. She served as the chief resident in her third year and developed an impressive proficiency with a variety of surgical procedures, including foot and ankle trauma, diabetic Charcot reconstruction and limb salvage, flatfoot reconstruction, application of external fixation devices, ankle arthroscopy, and all forefoot pathologies.

Dr. Aamir Ahmed

Aamir Ahmed, DPM, is a fellowship-trained, board-eligible foot and ankle surgeon with extensive training in reconstructive surgery. He currently sees patients at Ankle & Foot Doctors of New Jersey in Millburn, Westfield, and Union, New Jersey.

Dr. Ahmed earned his medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine after graduating cum laude with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He completed his three-year surgical residency at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey, where he gained surgical experience in adult foot and ankle reconstruction, trauma, arthritic joints, Achilles tendon reconstruction, arthroscopy, Charcot neuroarthropathy, and diabetic limb salvage, with advanced training techniques in wound care.

The following year, Dr. Ahmed went on to complete a pediatric foot and ankle fellowship at The Pediatric Orthopedic Center in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, under the mentorships of Dr. Mark Solomon and Dr. Mark Rieger. There, he gained experience treating children with foot and ankle congenital deformities, sprains, fractures, growth plate injuries, as well as sports and dance injuries. Some pediatric conditions that Dr. Ahmed has managed and treated include equinovarus deformities (clubfoot), toe walkers, in-toeing, flatfoot, high arch foot, ankle sprains/fractures, and brachymetatarsia.

His fellowship also included advanced and specialized training in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgical techniques, including minimally invasive bunion surgery and gradual deformity correction with the Ilizarov hexapod external fixator. With such a vast background, Dr. Ahmed is well-equipped to treat foot and ankle conditions for all ages.

Dr. Ahmed is also active in training the next generation of foot and ankle surgeons, educating and mentoring podiatric residents at Saint Barnabas Medical Center.

His hobbies include playing sports, fitness, and nutrition, and spending time with his family and newborn daughter. As a big foodie, Dr. Ahmed enjoys eating out with family and friends.

Antonious Eskandar, DPM, is an experienced podiatrist at Advanced Foot Care, LLC, in East Orange, New Jersey. Dr. Eskandar completed his undergraduate degree at The College of Staten Island in New York in 2005, majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. After completing his medical degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2009, he finished his four-year podiatric surgical residency at the New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in 2013, specializing in limb salvage, reconstructive foot and ankle surgeries, and foot and ankle trauma/fractures. Mina Beshai, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist and surgeon at Forward Foot & Ankle Associates in Staten Island and Midtown Manhattan, New York. Dr. Beshai is committed to providing professional and patient-centered foot and ankle care for patients at every age. 

Dr. Beshai was raised in Staten Island, and he completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology, minoring in chemistry, within three years at the College of Staten Island. He relocated to Harlem to obtain his doctorate in podiatric medicine and surgery at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and the Foot Center of New York. 

He received extensive training in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. After completing the program, he maintained a relationship with the clinic and is currently providing podiatric care for their pediatric department.  

Outside of his practice, Dr. Beshai enjoys walking with his two huskies and teaching them new skills. He also loves cruising on his motorcycle.

Dr. Sally Beshai is an experienced Podiatric Surgeon and has received numerous awards for her work. Dr. Beshai was trained by Dr. Edward Ferdinando, DPM at the Staten Island Hospital, and continued to gain experience through a long career in private practice. Dr. Beshai has also served in the Burn, Plastic, and Vascular Surgery departments at the Staten Island Hospital, as Chief Podiatric Surgical Resident.

Dr. Beshai has a special interest in diabetic wound care and the management of osteomyelitis and amputation prevention. In addition to her leadership skills and gentle bedside manner, Dr. Beshai is very eager to learn new treatments, techniques, and publications.

Dr. Mina Baskhron is a double board-certified foot and ankle podiatric surgeon. Dr Baskhron is a leader in private practice in New York since 2014. He has performed over five thousand podiatric surgical procedures including some of the most complicated congenital and acquired foot and ankle deformities. Dr. Baskhron is one of the few foot and ankle podiatric surgeons who completed a 4-year residency training focusing only on foot & ankle pathologies. Although Dr Baskhron's focus is on diabetic foot complications, limb salvage & reconstruction, he also treats various foot & ankle disorders, sports injuries, arthritis, flatfeet, bunion and hammer toes. Dr Baskhron completed his pre-medical education at Rutgers University, then he received his medical degree from NY college of Podiatric Medicine. He earned his doctor of podiatric medicine degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he also co-founded and led the school’s Asian American Podiatric Student Association.
