During her time at Temple, Dr. Varghese participated in several dermatology research projects and developed a love for diagnosing and treating skin disease, soft tissue tumors/masses, fungal infections, and wounds. She then went on to complete three years of extensive surgical training with an added certification in rearfoot reconstructive surgery at Suburban Community Hospital in East Norriton, Pennsylvania, where she was chief resident in her final year. She also completed a mini-fellowship in dermatopathology.

She completed her surgical residency from Cooper University Hospital. She sits on the Board of Visitors at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and is an Assistant Professor. She also is active in medical student and resident teaching.

Dara J. Friter, D.P.M. is a foot and ankle specialist practicing in all areas of podiatry. She received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from Rutgers University. A graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, she completed a residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, serving as Chief Resident during her last two years.
