Dr. Salma Bakri, DPM, is a foot and ankle surgeon at Montgomery Podiatry in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, where she provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Temple University and went on to receive her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her residency training at Chestnut Hill Hospital–Temple Health, specializing in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with added credentials in Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery.

Inspired by her experience completing two marathons, Dr. Bakri was drawn to podiatry through a deep appreciation for the role healthy, pain-free feet play in maintaining an active and independent lifestyle. She is particularly passionate about wound care and limb salvage and finds great fulfillment in helping patients overcome limb-threatening conditions, preserve mobility, and safely return to the activities they enjoy.

Stephanie Varghese, DPM, is a board-certified surgeon at Montgomery Podiatry, located in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. She specializes in dermatology and minimally invasive surgery. 

As a collegiate lacrosse player injured in her final year, Dr. Varghese first found her love for podiatric medicine. She understands loving your sport and enjoys getting athletes properly rehabbed and back to their activities.

After receiving her Bachelor’s degree at Austin College in Sherman, Texas, she went on to earn her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. During her time at Temple, Dr. Varghese participated in several dermatology research projects and developed a love for diagnosing and treating skin disease, soft tissue tumors/masses, fungal infections, and wounds. She then went on to complete three years of extensive surgical training with an added certification in rearfoot reconstructive surgery at Suburban Community Hospital in East Norriton, Pennsylvania, where she was chief resident in her final year. She also completed a mini-fellowship in dermatopathology.

Dr. Varghese is also on staff at Holy Redeemer Hospital.

Dr. Patel’s interest in podiatry started with his passion in sports. He completed his undergraduate study at Rutgers University in New Jersey and his Podiatric education at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He went on to complete a Residency in Podiatric Surgery at St.Joseph Hospital in Philadelphia.

In July 2011, Dr. Patel joined Frankford Podiatry Associates. He is currently on staff at Nazareth Hospital. He is devoted to the practice and well respected by his patients and peers. Dr. Patel is board certified in American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry.

In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife Neha, his son Shay and his daughter Anaya. In addition he enjoys playing golf, basketball and tennis. He follows many professional sports league on tv. He is a Cowboys fan. 

Ketan Kothari, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon by American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS),  with more than 26 years of experience in Podiatry. He works alongside a capable team at Frankford Podiatry Associates, PC, with three convinent locations in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Kothari earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Genetics from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He continued his education at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, earning his doctoral degree in podiatric medicine. 

After graduating, Dr. Kothari completed his Podiatric Surgical Residency at Tenet Health System, Warminster, Pennsylvania. In additon, he has completed his Podiatric Orthopedic Residency at the Veterans Affairs Franklin Delano Roosevelt Hospital, Montrose, New York.
