He then graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine to earn his doctoral degree. Dr. Saccomanno completed his three-year podiatric surgical residency at Huntington Hospital at Northwell Health on Long Island where he received extensive training in elective cases, trauma, infections, and diabetic limb salvage. During his last year of residency, he was privileged to serve as Chief Resident Physician of the Podiatry Service.

Dr. Saccomanno is Board-Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He is actively engaged in research participation and has published several journal articles in the medical community. He is also an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA).
