Dr. Matthews graduated from ISU in 2005 with a BS in Zoology. While in Pocatello he met and married his beautiful wife and through her father, Dr. Kert Howard, was introduced to the wonderful profession of podiatry.
After they were married they moved to Chicago to attend the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed his surgical residency at the Mt Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Matthews and his wife have four wonderful children.
“I had terrible pain in my foot, he walks in after I got the x-ray done and tells me what I already knew what was going on with my foot gives me a shot and makes a guaze cast and says to me go wear it for 2 weeks I tried to shake his hand and he was so cold and distant he didn't like the idea of shaking my hand. I made the appt for 2 weeks later thankfully I called the receptionist said we don't have you scheduled I was like good because if I knew that was all he was going to do for my foot.”
