Dr. Teresa Tam, MD, together with our advance care nurse practitioners, Adrienn Myers-Woods, WHNP-BC and Lindsey J. Syed, WHNP-BC, bring their compassion, sensitivity, and extensive medical expertise to women of all ages. Their focus is on the special needs unique to women's healthcare such as annual exams, contraception counseling, endometriosis, abnormal pap results, pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, menstrual disorders, genetic disorders, menopause, and many other women's health concerns. They believe the best healthcare comes from both focusing on well-woman care and forming long-lasting relationships with their patients.
Dr. Teresa Tam is fellowship trained in minimally invasive gynecologic (MIGS) surgery with accreditation as a "Master Surgeon of Excellence" given by the Surgical Review Corporation. Her extensive expertise in robotic and laparoscopic surgical techniques offers her patients many advantages over traditional open surgery. MIGS surgery greatly minimizes the pain, scarring, and recovery time from surgery. Many patients go home the same day as their surgery. Warm and compassionate, her focus is on the well-being of each patient. She spends time with each patient, to discuss non-surgical, medical alternatives, whenever possible, before committing to surgical interventions.
Adrienn Myers-Woods and Lindsey J. Syed, are both Women's Health Nurse Practitioners. As Women's Health Nurse Practitioners, they are registered nurses with highly advanced training and clinical experience in women's health care services. Their focus is on gynecological, reproductive and obstetric health, and offer both diagnostic care and treatment as well as preventative health care. Both Adrienn and Lindsey can perform the same examinations and diagnoses as a physician.

While I appreciate Lindsey’s attention to my concerns, I was disappointed by the lack of communication during our appointment. Lindsey’s admission that she wasn’t familiar with my medical history and hadn’t reviewed my chart beforehand made me feel that my care wasn’t prioritized, especially given the urgency I expressed about addressing my issues before my next menstrual cycle. I was scheduled for an ultrasound only to be told to wait an additional three weeks to discuss a hysteroscopy and then wait even longer to schedule the procedure. This drawn-out process felt like a waste of my time and resources, especially when I could have been seen by Dr. Tam, who is well-acquainted with my medical history and provides a more thorough approach to my healthcare. While I respect Dr. Tam’s busy schedule, I believe my time and care would have been better managed under her guidance from the start.
I’m very grateful for Dr. Tam, she is the first doctor who listened to me and my symptoms.
