Prior to establishing California Dermatology and Mohs Surgery Specialists, Dr. Soleymani practiced as a full-time faculty Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at UCLA, where he was also the Director of the Pigmented Lesions and Melanoma Clinic, as well as Co-Director of Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship Education and Dermatology Residency Surgery Education.
During his tenure at UCLA, Dr. Soleymani received both local and national acclaim for introducing landmark and pioneering advanced surgical treatments for complex, high-risk, and challenging skin cancers at UCLA. He revolutionized the treatment of early invasive and in-situ melanomas of the head and neck, and pioneered the utilization of intraoperative immunostaining to optimize cure rates. His dedicated efforts to optimizing treatments resulted in tremendous improvements in patient outcomes and quality of care.

Summary of my first Visit with Dr. Soleymani: He seems like a very prepared doctor, Professional yet joyful. He treats you like a human being should be treated. He took his time to explain everything, asked questions and listened. Great bed side manners. I went for a medical issue and I am so glad he didn’t even propose esthetic procedures.

It’s impressive that not only is the Dr., Nurses & staffing cordial, polite, helpful & a pleasure, but Dr. Soleymani, the RN and MA’s are the best of the best. Sitting in the lobby, you will hear repeat patients, speak highly of this practice & we would validate that. 5 stars isn’t enough for CA Dermatology and Mohs Surgery Specialists. Dr. Soleymani is outstanding! I had been nervous about getting something examined for years. He came in was professional, efficient, personable, and genuine. Procedure on a pain scale was 1 out of 10. His team and their follow-up was top notch as well. Highly recommend!
Dr. Soleymani communicates clearly and concisely and demonstrates personal mastery in his specialty. His mohs micrographic surgical technique and post surgery results greatly exceeded my expectations. Not only am I cancer free from melanoma, but I could not be more pleased with his reconstruction of the excision site. He and his high-performing team made sure I was comfortable and calm and provided the best care possible. By far and away the best doctor ever whom I recommend and have recommended to others.
If I could give more stars I would! I took in my three teenage girls to see Dr. Soleymani from when they scheduled our appointment, meeting his MA and than the doctor was a very pleasant experience the staff is friendly, attentive and ready to answer any questions you have before and after your appointment. The office is very clean and welcoming. My daughters were so pleased and happy with the treatment they received from Dr. Soleymani as he genuinely cares about his patients.
