I’ve been to two sessions. The first was ok, but didn’t seem focused on much (understandable given intake and getting familiar). I decided to be more direct in explaining what I hope to work on for the second session (even sent a message ahead of the appointment). Dr mostly ignored my request and was either unable or unwilling to help me develop the skills requested regarding empathy. There was a lot of basic concepts and meandering through splashes of random topics from self help books.
Therapy is very helpful in helping to overcome years of codependent behavior and trauma.
His experience is evident and valuable.
Doc has been a key factor in my healing over the years. I don’t know where I would be without her guidance.
