Hampstead Therapy and Wellness is a premier mental health counseling practice based in Hampstead, North Carolina, where Holly Giarratano, LCMHC, and James Manning, MD, treat an array of mental health disorders in a welcoming, non-judgmental setting or from the comfort of a patient’s home via telehealth.

We use the Collaborative Care Model of treatment. It’s a team-based, interdisciplinary approach built to treat behavioral and medical issues together. Our team includes a psychologist/licensed professional therapist who performs therapy and case management, a primary care provider who prescribes and monitors medications and medical issues, and a consulting psychiatrist. 

This model was developed at the University of Washington and has since been replicated throughout the country. It has been extensively studied and consistently provides exceptional results as measured through patient and provider satisfaction and improved patient outcomes.

At Hampstead Therapy and Wellness, we put patients’ overall health and mental well-being first. We understand that mental and behavioral conditions are closely intertwined with medical issues, so we treat all of these health aspects together. We will work closely with patients to develop a treatment plan that fits their individualized needs. 

We treat mood disorders, including depression, postpartum depression, and bipolar disorder, as well as anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, and more.

We offer comprehensive mental health services, such as counseling and medication management, to ease symptoms of mental health conditions or help patients better cope with difficult life challenges. We help them overcome grief, job loss, divorce, panic attacks, low self-esteem, suicidal ideation, and more.

Dr. Manning, a licensed internal medicine physician with expertise in medication management, completes medical evaluations and prescribes medications.  Patients can receive all of our services at one convenient location, as any lab work and monitoring are available in-house.

Dr. Robin Casey, a board certified psychiatrist who also specializes in Integrative and Holistic medicine, consults on each patient and works closely with our therapists and Dr. Manning.
