Heart Care in Frisco, Texas, specializes in providing high-quality cardiology services for patients 18 years and older. Dr. Shahnaz Begum, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiovascular disease specialist with more than 15 years of experience and has been providing care at Heart Care for many years. 

At Heart Care, patients receive an accurate assessment of heart-related symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, leg swelling, and many more.  

Conditions diagnosed and treated at Heart Care include but are not limited to coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction (heart attack), heart failure, heart murmur, heart valve disease, different types of arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, pericardial disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), low blood pressure, high cholesterol, orthostatic hypotension, peripheral vascular disease, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), etc. Heart Care also performs cardiac optimization for patients with diabetes, stroke, and other conditions associated with heart disease.

To diagnose these conditions, Heart Care uses state-of-the-art technologies, including cutting-edge GE echocardiography, nuclear and exercise stress testing using the Quinton® Q-Stress system, electrocardiography, remote cardiac monitoring systems, vascular studies, etc. Heart Care assesses patients to determine if they need cardiac angiogram, stents, bypass surgery, valve surgery, ablation, pacemaker, defibrillator, CAT scan, MRI, etc. Heart Care also does preoperative evaluation prior to any type of surgery. 

Preventive cardiology is also a primary focus at Heart Care. The team identifies cardiac risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, unhealthy lifestyle, and family history of heart disease to help patients improve their cardiovascular health.
