I finally found a Mental Health Practitioner who understands the needs of my adult autistic son. I've seen several doctors and clinicians in the past two years, but none have real experience working with nonverbal clients. Our last psychiatrist asked me twice if he rocks like that all the time. REALLY! It's very stressful as a parent not knowing if you will ever find a doctor who understands the trials and tribulations of having an autistic child. It has taken a huge weight off my shoulders.
