Board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon Joe Cooper, MD, offers the best in orthopedic and sports medicine care in the Los Angeles, California, area. 

In his Beverly Hills and Brentwood offices, Dr. Cooper provides customized cutting-edge care for fractures, shoulder instability, knee ligament injuries, hip pain, rotator cuff injuries, and other orthopedic conditions and sports injuries. 

Dr. Cooper earned his undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and went on to medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. In medical school, he was a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and he graduated with honors. 

During his residency at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California, faculty members chose Dr. Cooper as an American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) resident leader and named him as an emerging leader in the world of orthopedic medicine.

Following his residency, Dr. Cooper went on to pursue fellowship training in advanced arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery to treat complex sports injuries and knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow disorders.

During his time at the world-renowned Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colorado, Dr. Cooper trained under some of the foremost leaders in the sports medicine field, including Tom Hackett, MD, Peter J. Millett, MD, Marc Philippon, MD, and Matt Provencher, MD.

As part of his fellowship, Dr. Cooper worked directly with professional, collegiate, high school, and recreational athletes. He currently serves as a team physician for the United States ski and snowboard teams.

Dr. Cooper is a talented surgeon with superior skills in robotic surgery, arthroscopic surgery, and other cutting-edge treatment innovations.
