About John Vizuete, MD, MPH

John Vizuete, MD, MPH, in San Antonio, is an expert and board-certified gastroenterologist with a cutting-edge and innovative approach to the field.

Dr. Vizuete completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas in Austin and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed a master’s degree in public health at the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston.

Dr. Vizuete went on to complete his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Texas Health Science Center. In 2018, he joined the Gastroenterology Clinic of San Antonio.

Dr. Vizuete is committed to providing his patients with individualized care and spends the time necessary to understand the root cause and effects of each symptom. He recognizes that gastrointestinal health is complex and that sometimes a symptom can either be part of a much larger condition or a complex spiritual and emotional issue.
