Unlike programs such as Passages in Malibu, Dr. Starr encourages continued recovery and the use of any legitimate program to assist in doing so, such as the many beneficial 12-step programs, as well as their own treatment options. They run a friendly, professional and personal practice, and Dr. Starr is the most understanding doctor that I've ever had, period.
