Dr. Larisa Likver is a Board-Certified Physiatrist practicing medicine for over 30 years in New York City and internationally.
Dr. Likver obtained her medical degree from The Odessa State Medical School in Odessa, Ukraine. After immigrating to the United States in 1990, she successfully passed the USMLE and graduated from SUNY Downstate PM&R residency and later opened her private medical practices in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Dr. Likver specializes in non-surgical treatments of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions implementing her globally diverse and extensive medical knowledge. In her practice she offers a variety of cutting-edge regenerative procedures including Prolotherapy, PRP or platelet-rich plasma prolotherapy, Orthobiologic therapy, PIT or perineural injection treatment, Neiral Therapy, Prolozone Therapy among many other conventional and alternative treatments.

Dr. Likver goes beyond simply diagnosing a patient’s isolated injury or illness and treating it. Given her foundational training in Internal Medicine, she utilizes a wholistic, results oriented approach to treat her patients as a whole, instead of focusing on a particular symptom. After identifying the patient’s needs and root cause of their issue, Dr. Likver creates and implements an individualized care plan to yield the best possible and lasting results.

Dr. Likver is credentialed in Registered Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (RMSK) and is a Pioneer in implementing musculoskeletal ultrasonography in her practice for nearly two decades. By administering regenerative treatments under ultrasound guidance, Dr. Likver ensures precision, minimizes patient discomfort and maximizes positive results.

She has been trained in Prolotherapy by the Hackett-Hemwall Patterson Foundation (HHPF), the leading institution for Prolotherapy research and education. \nIn addition to her clinical work, Dr. Likver generously volunteers her time delivering prolotherapy treatments to underserved populations through medical missions to Honduras and Mexico with HHPF. She has served as a prolotherapy instructor with the organization, mentoring younger medical doctors during these vital missions. In a 2019 prolotherapy missionary trip to Guadalajara, Mexico she presented a first of its kind HHPF teach-in on the utilization of diagnostic ultrasound in prolotherapy.

Dr. Likver is a specialist in PIT (perineural injection therapy), originally called Neural Prolotherapy by its inventor - New Zealand physician Dr. John Lyftgoft. Dr. Likver participated in some of the few global conferences in Neural Prolotherapy to obtain training from Dr. Lyftogt himself.

Dr. Likver believes the answer to many of our health challenges can be found within our own body and natural environment. The human body has the unique and remarkable ability to heal itself when nurtured with proper medical care. She believes her job is to assist the natural healing process by combining the wisdom of century-old techniques with cutting-edge medical advances.

Despite her busy practice, volunteerism, vast knowledge and experience in a variety of regenerative methods to treat musculoskeletal conditions, she maintains an emphasis on education and learning. To stay abreast of the latest medical developments and best practices, she remains active across national and international conferences with other leading experts and colleagues around the world.
