Elyse Julian, DO, FAAD, is a prominent double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgery expert at Leading Edge Dermatology® in Plantation, Florida. Living up to its name, Leading Edge Dermatology provides the latest and most innovative adult and pediatric skin care treatments with a personalized team-based approach.
Dr. Julian completed medical school at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she graduated at the top of her class and earned the titles “student doctor of the year” and “graduate of the year.” After a one-year internship at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, she finished a three-year dermatology residency in Orlando, Florida.
Today, Dr. Julian continues to contribute to the field of dermatology. She has published over 40 articles and has been involved in clinical research as well as teaching medical students and residents.
She’s a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (ABMS) and holds memberships in the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the American Society of Mohs Surgery (ASMS).
At Leading Edge Dermatology®, Dr. Julian pays close attention to every patient’s unique needs and concerns. She specializes in medical treatments within pediatric and adult dermatology, including Mohs surgery for skin cancer, and is an expert in cosmetic treatments, including Botox®, chemical peels, and fillers.

Dr Willis was excellent. She asked questions and she was determined to find the cause of the skin condition that appeared on my arm. I believe that she did find the cause and we set up a therapy program to clear it up and it is working. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the experience.

Great experience the whole time! Easy parking, spacious waiting area, soothing atmosphere, very clean offices! The front desk staff was informative and patient to explain/answer my questions. The nurses and assistants were all so calming and easy to speak with. The entire appointment ran on time with no long waiting. Fantastic place!

Dr. Julian is a great Dermatologist. I’ve taken my son to her twice (one year apart) and both times she’s been able to figure out what was going on with my son and help him!
Dr Julian was great! She was informative and very meticulous with explanation of procedures. Originally I wanted skin tags removed but I developed a rash prior to seeing her and she checked my whole body to make sure it was something that could be taken care of so I wasn’t being tortured by not being able to scratch. It’s hives, she prescribed strong antihistamines and was also able to remove all skin tags I wanted removed it was super quick and pain free. Would def recommend her to anyone looking to get anything dermatologically looked at.
I have been seeing Dr. Julian for several years. She is an excellent dermatologist and is very thorough and conscientious. Dr. Julian is warm and welcoming, never rushes through an appointment, and is always willing to answer all of my questions. I am very happy to have found her and I can enthusiastically recommend her as a great family dermatologist. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. I also love the fact that she has her own practice and is not part of a big corporate machine like so many other South Florida doctors. I am not anti-large corporation when it comes to business, but when it comes to the doctors to whom I entrust my family’s healthcare, I prefer them to be independent.

Everyone at the office are nice and polite, appointments on time and DR. Julian is just great, she dedicate time to answer all the questions, she was very assertive with my diagnostic and I will definitely continue with her!
