Metropolitan Orthodontics was founded on the belief that everyone deserves the best possible smile. Under the leadership of Kristin Nelson, DDS, MDS, the practice delivers top quality orthodontic care to the community of Fairfax, Virginia, helping people of all ages enjoy healthier smiles.

Dr. Nelson brings an impressive academic and professional background to her work at Metropolitan Orthodontics. She earned her undergraduate degree in physiology and neurobiology at the University of Maryland (UMD) in College Park. 

She went on to complete her dental degree at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and further expanded her skills and knowledge with a Master of Science at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond.

Advancements in dental technology have vastly improved orthodontic care. Not long ago, traditional metal braces were the only option for improving teeth alignment. Today, people have access to a wide array of tools and techniques that deliver safe, predictable, and beautiful results.
