About Mindful Mental Health

Mindful Mental Health is a psychiatric clinic in Springdale, Arkansas, serving patients from ages 12 through their senior years. Board-certified psychiatric nurse Tammie Smith, ACNS-BC, leads our practice, and we see patients both in our office on West Sunset Avenue and through telehealth across Arkansas.

We built our practice around the idea that you deserve more than 15 minutes and a prescription. Your first visit is a full psychiatric evaluation, where we take time to understand your symptoms, your history, and what you want your life to look like before we recommend anything.

People find us for many reasons, whether it’s depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), trauma, or something they can’t quite name yet. 

What they have in common is wanting a provider who stays with them rather than passing them along. We handle medication management, teach coping skills you can use between appointments, and adjust your treatment as your life changes.

A good portion of our practice is adolescent care. Teenagers need something different from adult psychiatry, so we give them room to speak for themselves while keeping parents informed about what matters.

We know how hard it can be to walk into a psychiatric office for the first time. You might have waited months to make the call, or had a bad experience somewhere else, or never talked to anyone about this at all. We meet you where you are, explain our reasoning in plain terms, and never rush you through a visit.
