Welcome to Our Practice
Located on Mott Street in Chinatown in Lower Manhattan, Mott Women Healthcare has been meeting the gynecological and obstetrical needs of New York City women since 2012. Dr. Edward Chan and Dr. Angie Li are experienced, highly qualified physicians who are members of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Each is affiliated with New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital and NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn.
To provide women with the best possible care, the physicians at Mott Women Healthcare conduct a thorough exam at each appointment. Treatment plans are based on the individual needs, overall health, and lifestyle of the patient.
Mott Women Healthcare offers a wide range of gynecological and obstetrical services. During regular gynecological visits, the doctors test for STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), certain cancers (both breast and cervical cancer), uterine fibroids or cysts, and more. They also help women with any birth control decisions, whether to use pills, implants, an IUD, shots, or another form of prevention. Depending on the age of the patient, the doctors also discuss menopause symptoms and possible treatments.
For women who are pregnant, the physicians provide prenatal care and testing, ultrasounds, and additional services for patients whose pregnancies are considered high-risk.
Several in-office procedures to diagnose and treat a variety of gynecological conditions are available, including endoscopy, laparoscopy, colposcopy, and hysteroscopy. Hysterectomies are performed on-site.

Everyone was kind and respectful. Dr. Chan was amazing! Got straight to the point and shared information with me along every step of the way. Very friendly staff. Very clean. I felt so comfortable, which is rare with me because I always had bad luck with all my gynecologist before. But I am so happy with the experience.

Dr. Li is wonderful! I wanted to get a second opinion on fibroid treatment and what kind of options I had available as medication didn’t seem to be helping. She did an ultrasound and found that the fibroid growing on my uterus was 2.8cm and not 2.2 mm as my previous obgyn had concluded which was why the medication wasn’t very effective. She immediately took a blood sample to ensure I was not anemic and we talked about the different treatments available. She answered all of my questions and together we outlined a clear path for fibroid treatment. In one day she gave me hope again and I’m so grateful for her knowledge and compassion!
