About Us

South Coast Family Medical Center, Inc. is a trusted primary care walk-in clinic serving Laguna Niguel and surrounding communities throughout Orange County, California. Founded in 1990 by Michael Kent, MD, our clinic has proudly remained family-owned and -operated for nearly 35 years, providing accessible, compassionate, and high-quality medical care with a strong commitment to our community.

We’re open seven days a week, with extended hours on weekdays and weekends. Most services do not require an appointment, making it easy for patients to walk in for care of chronic and acute conditions, minor procedures, and on-site X-ray services. This flexible model ensures continuity of care without long waits for scheduled appointments.

We also offer several services by appointment, including annual physicals, well-woman exams and Pap smears, preoperative evaluations, and INS immigration physicals. Preventative care physicals can be done either by appointment or as walk-ins.

Please note that while we strive to see every patient who comes through our doors, there are occasional days when we reach our maximum patient capacity due to high demand. On these rare days, we may not be able to accommodate additional walk-ins or sign-ins—even during normal business hours. We appreciate your understanding.

South Coast Family Medical Center is now led by Dr. Michael Kent’s daughter, Lauren Kent Davis, DO, and her husband, Chris Davis, DO. Together with their experienced, dedicated team, they uphold the clinic’s long-standing values of personalized care, continuity, and community connection.
