I tell you..... God.....is truly good. He has sent the best of foot doctor ever my way. Dr. Mahmood sits and talk to you one on one about anything you want to know pertaining to your feet or foot before he dies any work. The thingShow more I love about him is he takes his time and don't rush you like most doctors. He really cares. He don't just do it for the money,he cares a n.v d that alone makes him sent from God. This man took his time went over every detail. I had a bunion on my right foot with an abscess forming on the inside that was giving me trouble and painfully. Ge to his time going over the pros and cons of things and assured me that he would do whatever it to to make sure he got my foot normal again and he did just that. I followed his rules to elevate my feet after surgery and the swelling went down and so did the pain subside and lessen with out pain meds each day. I'm still going through t hff e process but with his knowledge and wisdom things are working out just fine. I owe it all to God who sent him. I'm forever grateful for Dr. Mahmood. I recommend him to the world. May I add my foot looks amazing
I recently visited Dr. Aamir for some foot pain that had been bothering me for a while. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the office. Dr. Aamir was attentive and listened cShow morearefully to my concerns, asking detailed questions to better understand my symptoms. After a thorough examination of my foot, he diagnosed the issue and explained the treatment plan in a clear and understandable way. Dr. Aamir took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I felt comfortable with the instructions for caring for my foot. The office staff were also very friendly and efficient, making the entire visit a pleasant experience. Suffice to say, I was extremely satisfied with the level of care I received from Dr. Aamir and the podiatry office. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in need of foot care.
Podiatrist Aamir Mahmood, DPM, created Momentum Foot & Ankle Clinic to get to know people on a personal level and provide them with the space they need to receive the best podiatric care. At the offices in Michigan City and Chesterton, Indiana, and Lombard, Illinois, Dr. Mahmood is excited to be a part of the community, and wants his patients to feel at home. His goal will always be to make them feel comfortable because when patients feel they can be honest with him, that’s when the real treatment begins.
Dr. Mahmood is a born and bred Chicago native who grew up knowing all too well the importance of podiatric health. He was born with pes planus (flat feet) and spent his childhood wearing orthotics, braces, and dealing with sporadic pain due to rigorous activity. These experiences allowed him to realize very early on that he wanted to pursue a career in medicine.
After completing his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University of Chicago, Dr. Mahmood decided to take a year to complete a Masters in Public Health from Benedictine University to equip him with a better understanding of a different viewpoint of medicine. From here, he completed his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine (formerly known as Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine). He then completed a three-year surgical residency at Jesse Brown VA in Chicago, specializing in foot and ankle surgery where he served as chief resident. During his residency, he presented peer-reviewed abstracts at multiple surgical and wound care conferences. His research won an award at the Symposium for Advanced Wound Care in 2018.
Dr. Mahmood has board qualifications in the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in Forefoot/Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle.
When Dr. Mahmood isn’t a force of change in podiatry, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids. He is a car aficionado and loves to teach his kids everything he knows about cars. He also enjoys surrounding himself with friends and family and hosting gatherings. He is known to be an avid basketball player and an encyclopedia of trivial facts. What drives him in life is his passion for meeting people and creating lasting relationships.

Dr. Mahmood was excellent. I am 72 years old and have long term wear and tear bunion and hip issues. I have gotten by over the years and will continue to manage my feet with wider shoes and arch support. Physical therapy has greatly improved my hip and overall physique. My goal is to walk painlessly for miles! Thanks for your help and advice, Dr. Mahmood!

The staff is overly friendly, Doctor is equally welcoming, knowledgeable, and not bad on the eyes, I'm sorry that I only have ten toes, two ankles, well I didn't need to go on with that. If you are having problems, callous, hammer (toe) & (toe) nail problems, stop in and see Dr. Mahmood.

Dr. Mahmood has helped me in correcting my walk, working on my fallen arches with orthotics, hammertoe solution aids which help with a more secure walk which is helping with balance. I am seeing such improvements and feeling stronger in my step! These solutions that are working! I like that he really listens And explains things well!
