Dr. Raj's journey began at prestigious Bangalore Medical College in India, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) before earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD) postgraduate residency degree at prestigious King George's Medical College in Lucknow, India. He then moved to the United States to complete another residency in internal medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, Illinois, where he also served as acting chief resident. Dr. Raj went on to complete a year of hepatology fellowship followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology at Loyola University in Chicago, where he also served as a chief fellow.
Dr. Raj has published over 40 gastroenterology and hepatology publications in major medical journals and textbooks and has received a number of awards. He has experience in hospital leadership committees to improve patient care quality and outcomes.

Great doctor and office staff
The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. I was taken to an exam room within 10 min after my appointment time. While I waited for dr, there was an electronic interactive screen to get more information about gastro issues. After about 10 min, the dr came in to discuss any medical history - particularly gastro issues and past colonoscopies. He checked my gut for any pain. It was about 10 min long and then I went to the desk to schedule the colonoscopy. My only negative is that I had to pay $100 (my co-pay) just to meet the Dr and schedule my appt.
