I cried after this appointment, it was such a relief to feel HEARD and BELIEVED. This is the way the medical field should be. Abigail listens, advocates and understands. I feel very fortunate to have found her. She has an excellenShow moret understanding of EDS, I didn't have to teach her what it is and why I believe I have it. This left the appointment to actually being about treatment and getting better.
Ms. Butterfield was amazing and a refreshing experience when it comes to psychiatrists! She listened to me and everything I had to say regarding how I feel and medications. She was thorough when it came to information I needed anShow mored worked with me to find what was right for me! Abigail Butterfield, APRN, is an experienced nurse practitioner providing integrated, holistic care for patients at Renew Health & Wellness in Apollo Beach & Sarasota, Florida. Abigail was born and raised in Massillon, Ohio, relocating to Florida in 2017. She completed her undergraduate degree at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Abigail worked as a registered nurse on a surgery and trauma floor for several years, gaining additional experience covering medical/surgical, urology, and physical rehabilitation units.
For her master’s degree in nursing, Abigail attended Walden University. She has been an Adult and Geriatric nurse practitioner since 2014. She is a dual-certified nurse practitioner, having earned a post-master’s degree as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Wilkes University in 2022.
Abigail also has experience working in palliative care and hospices, transitional and home care, independent living and extended care facilities, and primary care.
At Renew Health & Wellness, Abigail works closely with patients to identify their unique needs. She’s a passionate advocate for her patients and is proud to have additional training and expertise in helping people with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and its comorbidities, live their best life.
