I found Dr. Dekhtyar while I was in hospital. I was on rather high dosages of meds for depression and anxiety at the time. Now, I'm on lower dosages of meds that don't have the side effects of the old ones, and I am feeling so mucShow moreh better! I can really feel the difference, and I'm so glad that I was referred to Dr. Dekhtyar at that time. I'm no longer living in a haze caused by my meds and I can enjoy my life so much more! I want others in a similar situation to find the help I found.
I've been seeing Dr Dekhtyar for almost 8 yrs. It has been a rough few days for me, as it has been for everyone with a mental illness during the COVID 19 quarantine. But I left my meeting with Dr Dekhtyar feeling like it was perfeShow morectly ok for me to feel this way. He recommended a medication adjustment and I'm hopeful. He always explains why he believes we need to make an adjustment, what the goal is and the timetable we will use to review and perhaps adjust again. He is an excellent Dr.

This is a totally honest review of Dr. Alexander Dekhthar , and his practice.. he's supremely knowledgeable about addiction issues which are invaluable for assessing recovering addicts. Although he is late on occasion I don't hold that against him because he's also on staff at the behavioral health clinic at Alexian Brothers hospital and gets emergency calls often. you will not regret deciding to become a patient of his as I have been for 20 years. his office staff is very friendly and profess.

I am so lucky to have found Dr. Dekhtyar and his team. I was suffering from anxiety and depression, and agoraphobia. I was also on meds that no longer worked for me. Now, I no longer suffer from depression, my anxiety has lessend and is well controlled and I am learning to go more places with my family. I enjoy my grandchildren and their special events. I get anxious, but we work through it. I am so very grateful for the help I've received from Dr. Dekhtyar and his entire team.

Had a clear description about my setbacks. Also, I understood the types of challenges that were remaining for me in the future. As, well as having, an understanding with how much recovery time I had left. With keeping things as simple as possible. Having to of had all the set of circumstances and consequences in the past it would be the way on how I behaved myself through all of life's trial and tribulations.

Dr Dekhtyar and his staff are great. Dr Dekhtyar has changed my life. He really gets me and understands the things that work for me. His staff is courteous and friendly, and appointments and prescription refills are always taken care of.

It works well for us because we don't have to drive to the office and add another car to the traffic. I think it is very efficient use of everyone's time.

Always helpful with great support staff.
Telehealth makes it easier for those of us who have to drive 20 minutes or more to get to the office. We can do things around home while we wait for our appointment instead of waiting in the office and driving back and forth. I think it is a win/win situation.
