Alena Polesin, MD, is a board-certified Physiatrist (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician), and also specializes in sport and pain medicine. She is proud to serve patients at New Jersey Pain Management, with offices in Morristown, and Rockaway.
After graduating from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, she completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York Presbyterian – The University Hospital of Columbia & Cornell, serving as a Chief Resident. After extensive post residency training and clinical experiences in musculoskeletal medicine, she became Director of Spine, Sports & Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation at New Jersey Pain Management -The Spine, Sports and Pain Medicine Center. She is currently on staff at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine – Morristown Medical Center, Atlantic Health System. Dr. Polesin specializes in helping individuals recover from acute and chronic injuries. Her expertise in non-operative spine and orthopedic medicine, combined with large clinical acumen of neurologic and rheumatologic conditions and board certifications in Pain and Sports Medicine set her aside from many narrowly-trained physicians as a comprehensive specialist in all aspects of conservative neuromusculoskeletal care. Dr. Polesin’s PA was wonderful getting the necessary information from me before seeing Dr. Polesin. She put me at ease did a great job explaining what was causing my pain. Dr. Polesin was right to the point and further explained my problem. I was given a shot to help with my discomfort which seems to be working. I was also informed about a procedure that could alleviate my back problem and gave me a list of surgeons I may consider. Dr Polesin is truly a wonderful doc who has helped me manage chronic pain without pain meds. She injects Dysport into my trigger points which has enabled me to live my life almost pain free. Morning Alena, Got up to go to the restroom and I did have pain on that right side that it’s about 3 o’clock. I get up at seven. I had some pain, but I was let the dogs out and so forth in someone, but I don’t have any pain at all. You have no idea how much that feels good. How long will this last without any pain until I get the next shot? Do you know anybody up here that is qualified to give me those shots? If not, I’ll be like Debbie said yesterday she’ll be happy to bring me back back-and-forth, but it is a drive and she has some issues when driving so I don’t wanna put her in a spot to do this all the time.
