Dr. Alex Anderson, MD

Originally from Kenner, Louisiana, Alex Anderson, MD, is proud to provide high-quality care to patients throughout Lake Charles, Louisiana, at the Center for Orthopaedics. 

After completing his undergraduate degree in biology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Dr. Anderson earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport.

Dr. Anderson went on to complete his residency in family medicine at the LSU Health Sciences Center Family Medicine Residency based at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He also completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Texas A&M University in College Station.

Dr. Anderson is certified in family medicine and sports medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.

He looks forward to welcoming new patients and continuing to care for his returning ones, giving them his highly regarded approach to helping them heal at the Center for Orthopaedics.
