Alex S. Lapasaran, DNP, APRN-C is a graduate of Orvis School of Nursing, University of Nevada in Reno where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and eventually a Master of Science in Nursing in 2003. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Nursing Practice at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.
Mr. Lapasaran has been practicing in the field of gastroenterology since 2003 when he joined Digestive Health Associates in Reno, Nevada. He and his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2017 where he joined Las Vegas Gastroenterology. He is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Mr. Lapasaran is the co-founder of the Nevada Hepatitis C Task Force and was a member of the Nevada Hepatitis Advisory Committee. He was also involved in the development of the Nevada Hepatitis Prevention and Control Plan.
His medical interests include viral hepatitis and general gastroenterology. Mr. Lapasaran also works closely with the Hepatologists and Liver Transplant Centers at Stanford University and the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California. He completed a preceptorship in Hepatology at Stanford University Liver Clinic and Oregon Health and Science University. Mr. Lapasaran is also fluent in Tagalog.
