Dr. Alicia Romero is a Spanish – English bilingual native of Venezuela. She completed her medical school at the University of Zulia in Venezuela in 2001. After her graduation, she relocated to Galveston, Texas, where she received her training in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She completed her fellowship in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at the University of Texas at Houston. During her fellowship she published several manuscripts. She joined Renal Clinic of Houston in October 2012.
Dr. Romero has her medical license in Texas and she is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians and American Society of Nephrology.
Dr. Romero is board certified by American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) as a Diplomate in Nephrology.

Staff at check-ibis superb. There attention to my require was very comforting.. I appreciated there schedule appointment sooner then available. Doctor’s details were comforting. The BPhas not come down. Still between 182-209. Took 1 hydralazine last night and 2 today.
Visits are well organized. Very little downtime in waiting room.

Dr. Lal takes great pride in giving the best care to his patients, by analyzing lab results and translating them so they are understandable and useful in managing good kidney health. He makes sure that you realize the importance of following his advice and care.
