About Dr. Alina Punel

Alina Punel, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a doctoral-prepared Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to bridging the gap between physical healthcare and mental wellness. Her journey began at North Dakota State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, laying the foundation for a career built on compassionate, patient-centered advocacy. Driven to bridge the gaps she saw in the healthcare system, she went on to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Texas Christian University. With broad experience across the medical field, she understands that mental health is not separate from overall health—and shouldn't be treated that way. She recognizes the unique barriers many patients face—from navigating stigma to finding a provider who truly speaks their language. She combines the highest level of clinical training (DNP) with a compassionate, down-to-earth approach, empowering individuals to take control of their mental well-being without shame.
