About Dr. Polston
Alison Polston, FNP, DNP is an experienced, board-certified family nurse practitioner at Arthritis Associates in San Antonio, Texas.
Alison graduated with honors from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where she earned a doctorate degree in nursing. She is passionate about rheumatology because it gives her an opportunity to use a holistic approach when caring for her patients.
She understands that autoimmune diseases are more than a collection of physical symptoms. Her focus is to provide emotional, social, and mental health support for people 12 and older and help them achieve a better quality of life.
Dr. Polston maintains her board certification with continuing education sources. She is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Dr. Polston is originally from Ecuador and is bilingual in English and Spanish. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and dogs, traveling, dancing, and reading. Dr. Polston enjoys caring for all of her patients and welcomes them to Arthritis Associates.

Very kind and very understanding and listen very well
I am very pleased with Ms. Alison Polston. She is kind, listens to me, shared the joy with me because I told her I was feeling well and had no pain. She was happy I was sleeping better at night with the Cpap. I strongly recommend her and Dr. Wickersham.
