Amalya Igityan, DDS, is a board-certified orthodontist at Shine DDS in Brooklyn, New York, with over 20 years of experience helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. Her passion for creating beautiful smiles is matched by her warm, personalized approach to orthodontic care for both children and adults.

Dr. Igityan earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Yerevan State Medical University in 2000 before moving to the United States to further her training. She graduated in the top 10% of her class at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2011, earning multiple awards for excellence in orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and periodontics.

She completed advanced training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, where she finished a general dentistry residency followed by a three-year orthodontic specialty program. Since then, Dr. Igityan has been proudly serving patients across New York, offering customized orthodontic treatments designed to improve oral health and create lasting, confident smiles.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Igityan enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending quality time with her family.
