About Amanda Murphy

I believe that psychiatric nurse practitioners have the unique opportunity to provide care that is built upon forming a relationship with the patient. Psychiatric illnesses are complex and require careful assessment that takes into consideration the biological, psychological, social, and developmental aspects of the patient's life. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner my goal is to meet the patient where they are and work in collaboration to tailor treatment from a "whole person" perspective. I believe that the psychiatric nurse practitioner's role in treatment is to nurture and build upon the patient's intrinsic strengths and resiliency throughout the treatment process.
