About Amanda Sheehan, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC

My practice is integrative, combining my experience in mental health and endocrinology. My psychiatric training was at John's Hopkins University, with pediatric psychiatry training at Boston Children's Hospital. My family nurse practitioner training was at the University of Massachusetts Boston. I have been involved both in clinical and research areas of practice, and understand deeply the impact that health concerns, including endocrine conditions, neurodevelopmental differences, as well as others, can exert upon ones mental wellbeing. My approach is one of creating a space of acceptance, openness, and true partnership to offer care that is congruent with one's values and goals. With pharmagologic methods, optimizing whole health, including non-pharmacologic, nutritional psychiatry, activity / movement, and mindfulness (present moment awareness), is foundational to our time together.
