About Amber O'Connor

Amber O’Connor, DPM, is a dedicated and skilled podiatric surgeon. She specializes in the clinical management of all podiatric pathologies, offering expertise in outpatient surgical procedures ranging from minimally invasive techniques to complex reconstructions like TTC nail procedures. Dr. O’Connor also provides comprehensive inpatient care with a focus on limb salvage. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. O’Connor is a teaching faculty member at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she mentors and educates Family Medicine residents on foot and ankle management. She is actively involved in the launch of a new Podiatric Residency program beginning in July 2024. 

Dr. O’Connor completed her residency at Kaiser Permanente South Bay Consortium, where she managed over 1,000 cases, including trauma cases at a Level 1 trauma center. Her extensive training and dedication to patient care earned her recognition, including third place at the 2022 Kaiser Permanente Northern California Resident Research Summit and the APMSA Academic Scholarship. Beyond her medical career, Dr. O’Connor is a Collegiate Soccer Official with the National Institute of Soccer Officials Association. She has officiated at high-profile events, including the 2023 American Athletic Conference Championship and NCAA Division 3 National Championship in 2017. 

Her leadership extends to her time as CEO of Intelligent Effort, where she inspired young athletes through mentorship programs. Dr. O’Connor holds a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Temple University and a Master’s in Biological Sciences from the University of Minnesota. Her research contributions span topics such as ankle fracture healing and outcomes in talar microfracture surgery, with work published in respected journals. Dr. O’Connor’s holistic approach to patient care, combined with her passion for education and research, positions her as a leader in the field of podiatric medicine.
