He is extremely knowledgeable and attentive to our heart health needs, and we both believe that he has not only extended our Show morelives, but he has also increased our ability to enjoy our lives through improved heart health. Amer Zarka, MD, is a general and interventional cardiologist and managing partner at Good Heart Medical Group, Inc. in Santa Ana and Garden Grove, California. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is certified in advanced cardiopulmonary life support.
Dr. Zarka completed his internship and residency at Jordan University Hospital in Amman, Jordan. He then pursued postgraduate medical training at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, where he studied internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology.
Prior to Good Heart Medical Group, Inc., Dr. Zarka was the Director of Pacemaker Service, Co-Director of Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and Director of Cardiology Hyperlipidemia Clinic at VA Medical Center in Long Beach, California. He also served as the assistant clinical professor of medicine at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center.

My experience with Dr. Amer was pleasant and he was very thorough and calm and EXCELLENT BEDSIDE MANNER. And when my visit was completed the nurse who was in the office the entire time of my appointment said she LOVES working for him because of his patience and demeanor and that spoke and speaks volumes to me as a now patient of his. If an employee is happy there that's to me is a great sign!
