About Anastasia Gonzalez

I am a licensed professional counseling candidate and licensed addiction counselor with over six years of experience in the mental health field. My approach is grounded in a culturally competent, collectivist, and holistic lens, shaped by my multiracial and multiethnic background. I recognize the impact of identity, community, systemic factors, and whole-person wellness on mental health, and I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered.
 

I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to meet each person’s unique needs, including somatic therapy, trauma-informed care, person-centered therapy, parts work, polyvagal theory, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction. My style is collaborative and flexible, centering each client’s autonomy and honoring their lived experience as essential to the healing process.

 

I am deeply committed to social justice and passionate about supporting the queer community and individuals navigating racial and ethnic identity concerns. I also focus on women’s issues, substance use, trauma, and the complexities of living with chronic illness and chronic pain. I aim to support clients in reconnecting with their strengths, fostering resilience, and moving toward healing in ways that feel authentic and self-empowered.
