Board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Andrew Khoury, MD specializes in anesthesiology and interventional pain management. He is the founder of Advanced Spine and Pain Specialists in Spring and Liberty, Texas, and has a passion for treating various chronic pain conditions. Dr. Khoury has extensive experience in minimally invasive techniques to treat pain at the source, including kyphoplasty, dorsal root ganglion and dorsal column spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, intrathecal pump therapy and indirect lumbar decompression for spinal stenosis. Dr. Khoury also utilizes his skill set as an anesthesiologist to implement a robust ketamine infusion protocol for intractable pain conditions. With multiple publications of his own research and several years of volunteer work, Dr. Khoury has worked alongside peers in his field with patients to help them achieve a high quality of life.
Dr. Khoury began his many years of education at the University of Houston where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. He stayed in the city of Houston to complete his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston followed by a general surgery internship at Baylor College of Medicine. In 2015, he moved to Galveston, Texas to complete his anesthesiology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He subsequently joined the prestigious Pain Medicine group at the University of Florida to complete a multidisciplinary pain fellowship, focusing on advanced interventional and minimally invasive techniques to treat complex pain conditions.
Today, Dr. Khoury holds memberships with many esteemed societies and associations of his peers, including the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Texas Pain Society, and the Texas Medical Association. Through these, he stays abreast of the latest advancements and treatments in the field of pain management.
When Dr. Khoury isn’t at the office educating patients and helping them choose the best treatments, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, working out, skiing and traveling.

Our visit with Dr. Khoury was beyond our expectations. My wife has been suffering with lower back pain far too long. In one visit with Dr. Khoury we covered more with him than we did with multiple visits with the other pain management specialist. We feel blessed to have Dr. Khoury for my wife’s pain management specialist.
There’s a wait to be called back but Dr. Blas knows his stuff! He’s also got a good sense of humor!
My favorite doctor. I’m disabled and he helps me with my back bursa injections, recommendations for physical therapy. He has an excellent bedside manner. Kind, understanding and doesn’t rush me out like many drs. He knows or is familiar with many of my other doctors in The Woodlands. His physicians assistant Amanda is also excellent kind understanding lots of recommendations as to how to help me on a daily basis. I cannot recommend this team enough even their office. Staff is kind to me.

All I can say, Dr Andrew Khoury is a miracle worker. One visit, one injection, 16 hours later, I am on the track field for an hour walk. Prior to the knee injection, I was in excruciating pain and unable to bend the knee or put any weight on it. 5 Stars
