About Angelique Empleo-Sandberg

Angelique is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing person-centered treatment across the lifespan. She believes that mental wellness is multi-faceted, and that each person has a unique story deserving of specialized care. She appreciates how difficult it can be to seek help and commends anyone taking this first step. Angelique treats a range of conditions, with a special focus on mood, personality, interpersonal, and trauma-related disorders. She strives for holistic assessments in each psychotherapy and medication management session, and she endeavors to provide a safe space for individuals of all backgrounds and experiences. Apart from psychiatry, Angelique has a background in neuroscience and emergency medicine, and she holds certifications for ACLS, BLS, and TNCC.

I believe the best kind of mental health care combines the prescription of medication (when necessary) and the long-term breakthroughs of talk therapy. This practice does both well, and Angelique is the best caregiver I’ve ever had - in both perspectives of mental health care. She always listens intently and helps me recognize positive growth, reflect on impactful events, and contextualize significant life changes. I’m not sure what more you could want from a therapist. I highly recommend her.
