Through active listening and thoughtful questioning, along with evidence based assessment tools, I examine the biological, psychological and social factors that exist for each patient in order to provide an accurate diagnosis and comprehensive treatment plan. I have 10 years of experience treating children, adolescents and young adults with mental illness in a variety of institutional, school-based and outpatient settings. I enjoy partnering with families, therapists and school administration when appropriate, to find the best way to support and advocate for a patient. With a background in pediatric primary care, I also have the experience to recognize the many physical factors that can influence a child's mental health and consider them in a wholistic treatment plan. As a pediatric mental health specialist, I believe in initiating the least invasive treatment necessary to allow a child to thrive.
